Frequently Asked Questions

Can I trust the information provided by Compare ERP?

Yes you can! Compare ERP uses the most comprehensive library of ERP information available. Our intelligence starts with a deep and contextual understanding of more than 500,000 peer reviews from ERP users and is supplemented by 100,000 hours of human reading time covering every article, blog and report that has been written about cloud ERP since 2007. To say that our AI is an ERP expert would be a significant understatement.

Do you only compare ERP vendors that pay?

No! We compare all ERP vendors whether they pay us or not. The only thing we insist on is that all vendors offer a discount on your first year’s license fees.

What’s the main difference between Compare ERP and other similar services?

There are three big differences: Firstly, we make comparisons based on your unique priorities. We don’t just tell you which is a good ERP for manufacturers; we tell you which is the best ERP for a manufacturer based in Texas, employing 250 people, currently using SAP ECC6 and needs to upgrade to a new ERP that is scalable, has the easiest migration path and the lowest TCO. Secondly, we use all the information available not just a snapshot. Finally, and most importantly, our comparisons are 100% free from bias and commercial considerations.

Should I validate results from Compare ERP with another service?

You can for sure, but remember Compare ERP aggregates data from all the other sources you might have used in the past to give you a holistic and unbiased view of the whole market.

How do I get a discount on my first year’s license fees?

All ERP vendors listed on Compare ERP offer a discount on your first year’s license fees. The amount of discount varies from vendor to vendor, but once you have completed and saved a comparison you can request a certificate which guarantees you a discount. Automatic discount certificates are not available during our beta test phase but they will be introduced when the service becomes generally available. All comparisons during the beta phase will be saved and discounts will be issued retrospectively.

Why aren’t discount certificates available in the beta version?

We are testing our service in a live environment and we decided to restrict some of the automated services during this period. As soon as our final testing is complete, any users of Compare ERP that have completed a comparison and generated a report will be entitled to a discount certificate. We will let you know as soon as this is ready and we anticipate weeks rather than months to roll this out.

How does Compare ERP make money?

We don’t! We’re in a pre-revenue beta state at the moment and will continue to evaluate potential commercial models as our service matures.

Can I buy ERP licenses through Compare ERP?

Not yet! But you will be able to soon. Our marketplace launches in early 2025 which will allow ERP buyers to compare, select and order ERP licenses. You will still have to go through some contractual work with the vendor but 95% of the process will be completed through the Compare ERP Marketplace.

I don’t agree with your comparison results, what can I do?

If you are unhappy or disagree with the results you should let us know straight away. We are constantly reviewing our AI engine and algorithms and if you spot something that doesn’t look right, you will be helping us and other ERP buyers if you flag it through the contact form.

What technology do you use to run Compare ERP?

Our comparison engine is built on Microsoft’s core technology using Generative AI wherever possible. Our algorithms and AI engine have been built from the ground up, our website is custom built by our in-house team and our services are hosted on AWS.
